PAPER-II (HISTORY & INDIAN CONSTITUTION) PREVIOUS PAPER-2012

       1 The candidate has to answer 15 questions @ 5 questions from each section.

       2. Each question carries 10 marks,

    3. The Question paper is set in English and translated into Telugu language. The English version will be considered as the authentic version for valuation purpose.

 

SECTION - I

 2. a. What are the medieval Indian Temple construction styles? Discuss with suitable examples.

    b. Examine the factors behind the rise of Shivaji. Do you fell that he was a nationalist leader Support.

3. a. Discuss about the various stages of British colonialism and its impact on Indian Society.

OR

    b. What was the impact of the First and Second world Wars on the Indian National Movement? Explain.

4. a. Explain the main features of the religious and social reform movements and evaluate their role in the making of Modern India.

     b. How far have the oppressed caste movements and their leaders helped the downtrodden people for their upliftment?

5. a. Estimate the role of women in the National Movement. Do you consider that their participation was an indication for the women empowerment in those days?

12 a. Discuss the administrative relations between the Union and the States. How are the Inter State Water Disputes resolved in India?

      b. Discuss the powers and functions of the Election Commission of India and explain its role in protection of representative democracy in India

13. a. Explain the privileges and immunities of legislature under the Constitution of India. How far can the judiciary interfere with such privileges and immunities?

    b. Discuss the grounds on which administrative action may be reviewed by the judiciary, and the various modes of such judicial review.

14 a. Analyse the Constitutional Amendments made g0 far in relation to the Fundamental Rights guar- anteed under Part III of the Constitution.

      b. Write a critical note on the Emergency Powers under the Constitution and their misuse, if any

15.a. Analyse the aims and objectives of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. Explain whether such objectives have been achieved.

OR
